Eccentric clergyman and self-styled prophet, Passion Java has allegedly been exposed for buying Youtube views for Roki and Koffi Olomide’s hit song “Patati Patata.” The allegations were made by journalist and activist Hopewell Chin’ono.
“Patati Patata” was released to a huge buzz on Wednesday. Barely 48 hours later, the song had garnered more than 2 million views on Youtube. The hit collaboration was produced at the social media savvy prophet’s Passion Java Records.
The song’s record views led to a debate on whether the views were genuine. Some opined that the views were paid for to boost the song’s popularity.
Chin’ono posted statistics comparing Jah Prayzah’s youtube views and Patati Patata’s youtube views. He said that the data showed that Jah Prayzah’s views are organic and genuine. Hopewell also said that the data also showed that the views for Patati Patata showed sudden spikes that indicate that they are inorganic.
The journalist wrote,
The cheaters are continuing to deny the truth out of embarrassment.
The left graph belongs to @jahprayzah
His YouTube numbers and views are ORGANIC.
The graph on the right belongs to the Fake Prophet Java, his numbers have sudden jumps showing that they are INORGANIC!-iharare
