In his first public response to Sunday’s shocking incident, crust-fallen Chris Rock addressed the slap during a sold-out stand-up comedy show in Boston.
Chris Rock, 57, took to the stage at the Wilbur Theatre and started the comedy show by asking the excited crowd how their weekend was;
‘Sooooo, how was your weekend?!’
Let me be all misty and s***,’ Chris Rock said with tears in his eyes.
Chris then explained that he didn’t write any material around the slap.
‘I don’t have a bunch of sh*t to say about that, so if you came here for that…I had written a whole show before this weekend.
During his set, Chris Rock told his audience that he was ‘still processing’ being slapped at the Oscars. He, however, promised his fans that he was going to talk about that slap one day.
‘I’m still processing what happened, so at some point, I’ll talk about that sh*t. It’ll be serious. It’ll be funny, but right now I’m going to tell some jokes.’
