Kuda Mahachi’s Wife In Hiding After ‘Scalding’ Son With Hot Water
Zimbabwe football star Kudakwashe Mahachi’s wife Rose is reported to have gone into hiding following allegations that she is the one who scalded her four-year-old stepson Diego with boiling water.
The sensational allegations were made by prominent social media influencer Wellence Mujuru on his Facebook page.
Mujuru wrote:
Kuda Mahachi’s wife, Rose Mahachi, reportedly in hiding after evidence emerged that she allegedly burnt her stepson, and Kuda helped her cover it.
Ex-Orlando Pirates star Mahachi grabbed headlines for the wrong reasons after the media was awash with the gruesome pictures of his son’s severe wounds. The minors suffered horrific injuries after being scalded with hot boiling water.
Due to the severe burns, Diego had his right foot amputated at a local hospital after he failed to get medical attention on time.
After being fingered in the scandal, the SuperSport United star took to social media on community initiative platform Asakhane Live’s Facebook page and denied the allegations.
In the video, which has since been deleted, the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates player denied hurting his son for ritual purposes.
Bulawayo based lifestyle tabloid B-Metro quoted Kuda Mhachi as saying,
“People believe what they have read. Firstly, my son’s pictures are circulating. Why are people circulating the pictures when my child is in pain? Secondly, people say I used my son for money rituals. How can I hurt my son for money rituals?
“This thing pains me because no one wants to hear my side of the story. My sisters, they know what they did. They know what they injected my son with. My son left South Africa in one piece, he was okay and he was walking. My sisters know the doctor they used to inject my son and everything.”
Following this scandal making rounds on social media, Supersport United suspended Mahachi from the club so as to distance itself from the player.
The Dstv Premiership shared the statement on its website which reads:
SuperSport United FC has become aware of the serious allegations levelled against our player, Kudawashe Mahachi,” said SuperSport in a statement.
The club has suspended the player from all club football activities with immediate effect. He has been advised to attend to his family & the allegations against him.
The matter is subject to judicial processes. The club will make no further comment at this time.
