SuperSport’s Kuda Mahachi Goes Into Hiding After Returning To Zimbabwe, Fears For His Life
Suspended Supersport United player Kudakwashe Mahachi is reported to have gone into hiding after returning home to Zimbabwe from his base in South Africa.
Mahachi, who was forced to return home after being suspended by his club, SuperSport United, is reported to be in fear for his life.
SuperSport United FC suspended the Zimbabwe Warriors star following the horrific child abuse allegations levelled against him.
Mahachi is alleged to have scalded his 4-year-old son Diego with boiling water as punishment.
These horrific injuries did not receive timely medical attention, resulting in the minor’s right foot being amputated.
Mahachi’s lawyer, Nkosiyabo Sibanda of Tanaka Law Chambers, refused to speak on his client’s whereabouts for security reasons.
“I cannot confirm or deny that.
“I choose not to respond to that question for security reasons.
“What I can tell you is that Mahachi is safe and awaits his day in court.
“I will not say more,” said Sibanda.
Mahachi, who has been in Zimbabwe for over a week now, has denied the horrific abuse allegations. He is alleged to have blamed his sisters for Diego’s appalling injuries.
He is also said to have claimed that goblins attacked his son. Mahachi is alleged to have told his sisters and pastor Jabulani Nzimah-Ndlovu (Mfundisi Ndlovu) that his son’s third-degree burns were a form of cancer that developed after goblins attacked him.
A source close to the developments told Bulawayo based lifestyle tabloid B-Metro,
“He was not going to return home if his club had not cleared him.
“He was going to leave all matters to his lawyers.
“But now he has no choice; in order to save his career, he had to come home and face the music.
“But he is very upbeat and believes that he will win the case in court.”
