Buffalo Souljah is arguably one of Africa’s greatest dancehall artists and one of Zimbabwe’s greatest exports. He recently released the visuals for his song Irie featuring the Capetown native Youngsta CPT and Dj Capital. In the video, he continues his never-ending pursuit to lift the Zimbabwean flag higher. The artist this morning announced a homecoming tour and it’s been a long time coming.
In an Instagram post, the artist said,
“Since I left my hood Mufakose I’ve never done a homecoming gives back tour I think it’s time Waya say this December 19th ‘Mfombi hoye…’ #Unityalbumhomecomingtour”
There are no further details out yet on the event but with the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions in Zimbabwe and the current trajectory of events, we strongly expect it to happen soon. The recently released Unity Album by Buffalo Souljah features 23 tracks and it’s the latest addition to his amazing discography. The Artist in recent times featured on Winky D’s controversial album Njema and when the album was released Buffalo Souljah was there performing at HICC alongside Winky D.
Buffalo Souljah has also been one of the most outspoken Zimbabwean celebrities in terms of the Zimbabwean Lives Matter movement and other conversations on social injustices. Throughout his career, Buffalo Souljah has raked up impressive awards from Channel O Africa Music Video Awards, Soundcity Music Awards, Nigeria AFRIMA, Zimbabwe Music Awards, Zimdancehall awards and African dancehall artist of the year at awards in Texas, USA.-zimboleb
