Free Covid-19 Testing & Certification For Students At Parirenyatwa Hospital
The country’s biggest hospital, the Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals has announced that it is offering free Covid-19 testing for students.
Parirenyatwa Hospital is offering free Covid-19 PCR testing and certification. PCR testing is considered the “gold standard” in SARS-CoV-2 detection. This test actually detects RNA (or genetic material) that is specific to the virus and can detect the virus within days of infection, even those who have no symptoms.
The free Covid-19 PCR testing and certification are, however, open to only students in Secondary Schools and Tertiary Institutions. The testing and certification program is being carried out by Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in partnership with Strive Masiyiwa’s Higherlife Foundation. The program will run for only one week, between 15 and 22 March and will process a maximum of 150 students per day.
Schools reopened for examination classes on Monday 15 March 2021. Non-examination classes will be reopening schools on 22 March 2021.

FREE COVID TESTING AT PARIRENYATWA GROUP OF HOSPITALS
Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, in partnership with Higherlife Foundation, is offering free COVID PCR testing and certification for students in Secondary Schools and Tertiary Institutions. The voluntary free testing will take place between 15 and 22 March 2021 at the Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals casualty car park.
The arrangement will be able to process 150 students per day on a first come first serve basis. The testing will be done between 8:00 am and 15:30 pm every day. Students coming for testing should bring their institutional identity card or letter from the Principal of their school confirming their student status.
