Video footage of South African comedian Mpho Popps making fun of Nadia Nakai’s Zimbabwean accent on Comedy Central’s Roast of Khanyi has left social media in stitches.

Mpho was introducing Nadia Nakai – whose genealogy roots trace back to Zimbabwe – as the next panellist for Khanyi Mbau’s roast when he started making fun of her. Mpho revealed that he didn’t know Nadia Nakai was Zimbabwean until he saw a video of her singing ‘Happy Birthday’at her birthday party. Mpho went on to ask Nadia Nakai to pronounce the word sixty.
The comedian left the crowd rolling on the floor with laughter as he made fun of Nadia Nakai’s Zimbabwean accent.

Social media users, Zimbabweans in particular found the video quite accurate and hilarious at the same time. Some netizens, however, argued that AKA should have pulled a Will Smith on Mpho since he was making fun of his girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Nadia Nakai once came under fire over her ‘rant’ on the Young, Famous and African series regarding her ethnicity.
After the clip of Nadia Nakai on Young, Famous and African surfaced and circulated on social media, a Twitter account LisasaysSA1st quickly lashed out at the rapper posting:
