Outspoken politician Temba Mliswa has lauded Bona Mugabe for filing for divorce from her husband Simba Chikore after almost nine years of marriage.

Zimbabweans from all walks of life have weighed in on Bona’s decision to divorce her husband.

Mliswa who has gone through a divorce himself heaped praise on Bona for making a difficult yet right decision.

He said that Simba Chikore was not a suitable partner for her and commended Bona for filing for divorce.

The outspoken Norton legislator added that the two were chalk and cheese suggesting that their union would have hit the rocks eventually.

Temba Mliswa added that Simba Chikore used the Mugabe name to get away with his dodgy deals.

Mliswa concluded his message by wishing Bona well adding that he respects her. Taking to Twitter Temba Mliswa had this to say about Bona Mugabe’s divorce:

The separation of Bona from Simba Chikore is actually good news for her. That guy wasn’t good for her and didn’t deserve her. She is a model for the girl child, calm, unassuming and handles herself well. She deserves a life in peace.

The guy was out for dodgy business deals, associating with the First Family only and name-dropping for personal aggrandisement. You can’t hold on to such. You will be well Mangwenya. I liked you from the day I met you at a meeting with President Mugabe in Zvimba.

You came across as a level-headed person. I will forever respect you and pray for you. Your life can still go on. Be strong.

While some gave Mliswa a nod of approval, others raised their eyebrows and hinted that he was laying the groundwork for a relationship with Bona once her divorce from Simba is finalised.

Meanwhile, some pointed out that Mliswa may not be the best candidate to judge Chikore’s life decisions, given his own questionable moral compass.
