Former Kaizer Chiefs defensive midfielder Willard Katsande is set to open a soccer school on the 31st of January 2022.
Willard Katsande announced the development on his official Twitter handle;
Katsande revealed that the school will be called “Kitoko Soccer School.” The soccer school will be offering training lessons for both boys and girls from the age of 7 to 16 years.
Speaking on why he decided to open a soccer school, Katsande revealed that he started Kitoko Soccer School because of his passion for the game.
“I started Kitoko Soccer School out of my passion for the game and identifying a need in my community. I have a lot of experience to share and hope to grow as a coach too. Football has given me so much, and now I am giving back.”
Katsande said his soccer school will help those starting out and those looking to be professionals. He added that his school aims to develop young football players using specialized football programmes.
“Our vision is to develop young football players using specialised football programmes to help the player find their creativity, …nurture their passion and improve technical and physical abilities.”
Meanwhile, ever since he left Kaizer Chiefs, Willard Katsande has been making great strides. Recently, he launched his own fashion line called “Boss Ya Mboka.” He has already started selling some of the clothes from his fashion line.
Last year, he also started a painting and plumbing side hustle. He started the business Katsande Partners to prepare for his new life after retirement from football.
Speaking on his new side hustle, Katsande said,
“I can say it is a new business now, but I registered the company in 2017. But I was still learning, now I’m busy working. It is operating full time now. We are doing a lot of work from home renovations, interiors and exteriors, handyman services such as bathroom fittings, kitchen fittings, and ceilings.”-iharare
