Dynamos Football Club Fined US$2000 For Failing To Restrain Fans During A Match

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has fined the Dynamos Football Club for failing to restrain its fans during the Chibuku Super Cup Semi-final match.

Dynamos Football Club was fined US$2000 because of the crowd trouble that happened at National Sports Stadium on Sunday when they were clashing against FC Platinum.

In a statement, PSL Communications and Media Liaisons officer Kudzai Bare said;

“The Premier Soccer League has fined Dynamos FC following incidents of crowd trouble that occurred at the Chibuku Super Cup Semi-final match played against FC Platinum at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday 21 November 2021.

According to Order 1.9 of the Chibuku Super Cup Disciplinary Offences and Fines. Dynamos FC have been charged a sum of two thousand dollars (US$2000) for failing to exercise control over their fans.

The PSL urges clubs to raise awareness and educate their fans and officials on football rules and regulations to ensure the safety of spectators, match officials and players at football matches.”

Apparently, this is not the first time Dynamos Football ball has been fined by the PSL. Dynamos and Ngezi Platinum Stars were once fined for the violence that occurred during their clash at Baobab Stadium in 2017.

Dynamos FC and Ngezi Platinum Stars were found guilty of contravening Order 31 of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Rules and Regulations.

They were both ordered to pay $2500 each of which $500 was suspended on condition that they do not commit a similar offence until the end of the season.-iharare
