Jah Signal has publicly apologised to the Charambas for sampling their music without their permission after they got two of his hit songs, ‘Shinga Muroora’ (Sweetie) and ‘Tengai Mafuta,’ taken down from YouTube for copyright infringement.

The incident sparked divided opinions among Zimbabweans on various social media platforms. Some felt that Pastors Charles and Olivia Charamba should have been more understanding, considering their Christian beliefs. On the other hand, some argued that Jah Signal should not have proceeded with sampling the songs after being denied permission.
Jah Signal, however, chose to extend an olive branch and publicly apologised to the Charambas on Friday night. He posted a picture of the Charambas and acknowledged them as his respected elders for life. In his brief apology, Jah Signal expressed his love for them and conveyed his sincere remorse.
