The organisers of Rick Ross’ maiden performance in Zimbabwe, ROAR Entertainment, have released more information regarding tickets to the show.

Rick Ross is scheduled to perform in Zimbabwe at the Harare International Conference Center (HICC) on 18 November 2022.

Speaking to a local publication from her South Africa base, ROAR Entertainment spokesperson Shaleen “Ms Shally” Nullens gave more information regarding tickets. Tickets were scheduled to go on sale last Friday but at the time of printing no reason had been offered as to why that did not happen.

Shally talked about supporting acts saying that they were looking for talented local Hip Hop musicians.

Ms Shally said there are only 4500 tickets available for the Rick Ross show in Zimbabwe and she urged concertgoers to get their tickets early as there will be none sold at the venue. Ms Shally said:

Yes, everything is secured. We will be selling 4 500 tickets (and) we encourage everyone to get their tickets early as there will be no tickets sold at the venue.

Ms Shally also denied rumours that Rick Ross is coming to Zimbabwe to celebrate President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s rise to the presidency.

The concert comes a day after Robert Mugabe was ousted from his 37 years rule.

Ms Shally said it was a coincidence that the date of the concert was 18 November. She said they picked the date because that is when Rick Ross will be available for a show in Zimbabwe. Ms Shally said:

We focus on what we do best in the industry and that’s bringing premium events to our people; dates are based on the availability of the artiste we would have booked

Meanwhile, the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe has said that ROAR Entertainment has not approached them regarding the Rick Ross show. National Arts Council of Zimbabwe marketing and public relations head, Rodney Ruwende said:

Our programming department has not yet been approached by any local promoter seeking to bring in Rick Ross-iharare
