Holy Retribution: Catholic Nuns Strike Back At Drunk Teacher In Convent Clash

A shocking incident unfolded at Gokomere High School, where a male student teacher was allegedly assaulted by four female teachers and a security guard.

The incident took place on July 9, 2023, around 8 pm.

Mistaken Room Entry Triggers Attack According to reports, Prince Muchanyarei (21), a student teacher at Gokomere High School, had returned to the teachers’ lodgings after consuming alcohol.

In a misguided moment, he entered a female teacher’s room, mistaking it for his own.

The female teacher, who is a Roman Catholic teacher stationed at the mission, immediately sought help by contacting Clever Chibhimidza (60), a security guard at the school.

Shockingly, instead of diffusing the situation, the security guard was allegedly joined by four female teachers: Margareth Gotami (40), Forget Shezhu (32), Evangelista Mukondyo (66), and Maria Rumbidzai Dube (62) in attacking the student teacher.

On Thursday, the accused persons stood before Masvingo Magistrate, Conceptor Ngwerume, and were remanded out of custody on charges of assaulting Prince Muchanyarei.

In other news, iHarare had reported that on Friday, a tragic incident occurred in Greendale, resulting in the death of an 81-year-old woman, Gogo Chabuka, as her house caught fire while she was asleep.

The fire consumed her house and belongings. Her maid had gone out for prayers at the time of the incident.

Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the national police spokesperson, has confirmed the case and stated that investigations are underway.
