Social media went wild with excitement when Star FM hinted that Tinashe Chikuse and Phathisani Sibanda would be reunited on their station to host The Champions League Breakfast Show, following their resignation from Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation’s (ZBC) Power FM, where they were fan favourites.

News that Chikuse and Sibanda will be back on the airwaves comes barely after the former penned an emotional letter on his Facebook page announcing his resignation from ZBC after two decades.
While he did not mention his next career move, Tinashe Chikuse did not rule out the possibility of returning to the airwaves.
His former co-presenter at Power FM, Phathisani Nyathi was among the people who hopped into the comments sections and gave him words of encouragement.
He also mentioned that he hoped that one day their paths would cross again.

It seems that wish has come true sooner than later as Star FM shared a picture of Tinashe Chikuse and Phathisani Sibanda holding a speaker on their official Facebook page, hinting at the return of the Champions League Breakfast Show.

It, however, emerged that Tinashe Chikuse and Phathisani Sibanda will join Star FM’s sister station, Capitalk FM on Workers’ Day where they will present The Champions League Breakfast Show.
Some of the highlights of the show will include the ‘Champions Drive’ where the duo will appreciate listeners in Staff Buses, and Music and Diaspora Call where they call people in the diaspora and surprise them with a message from loved ones here in Zimbabwe amongst other exciting segments.
